Making A Purchase Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

We accept credit card payment. If you are shopping from North America or anywhere else, place your order and your credit card company will convert the transaction to US Dollars or your own currency. If you would like to pay by cheque please post us full details of your order and a cheque made payable to 'Shirley Aquatics' and we will confirm your order and ship it out to you.

We accept Maestro, Visa and Mastercard. We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. Backordered items are not charged until they are shipped. You may send your credit card information via phone, fax, snail mail or over the Internet.

You will recieve an e-mail to confirm that we have recieved your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. This term is included to protect us from any errors made in the pricing of goods, or in case we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. If a price has changed we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.
Shipping And Handling

Next Day Delivery Service - £4.95 up to 20 kilos per parcel.

Free Standard Delivery on all orders over £50.00 subject to the following exclusions:

Saturday Delivery - add £20.00 to your delivery charge

Deliveries Before 9am Weekdays - add £14.00 to your delivery charge

Guaranteed AM Delivery - add £4.00 to your delivery charge

Scottish Highlands, Eire, Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands - Delivery charge is £20.00

Large or Over-weight Items (i.e. Aquariums & Cabinets, large filters etc) - are not included in the £50.00 free delivery offer, any additional cost will be confirmed after your order has been received and will be based on the size of aquarium ordered, distance to travel and how many people are required to deliver it to you.

Overseas Orders - We will contact you once you have placed your order to confirm the shipping costs.
Delivery Schedule We aim to deliver your order right away. We will normally send your order to you in 2 working days . International orders are generally received in under 7 days.
Back Orders If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.
Tax Charges For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 17.5% VAT is added. All other orders are VAT free.
Credit Card Security When the order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.
Guarantee We guarantee your satisfaction. All of our products come with a 28 day no quibble guarantee. All electrical items are protected under a 12 month guarantee, just keep your receipt as proof of purchase.

Faulty items will be replaced or credited once they have been returned to us and tested by ourselves or the manufacturer.
